About JT's Original Louisiana Barbeque
We Operate on Family Values
James & Elsie Turner have been married for 32 years and have 6 children and 3 grandchildren. Both originally are from Louisiana where they watched their mothers perfect their old family recipes for large and small gatherings.
James retired from the Port of Seattle Fire Department in order to spend all his time on bringing the gospel of JT’s Original Louisiana Bar-B-Que to all.
All of the Turner children are involved in the BBQ business.
Our First Award Winning Restaurant
JT’s Original Louisiana Bar-B-Que Resturant opened in Washington state in 1997 and was an immediate success.
With James at the grill with his secret spices and sauce and Elsie’s wonderful recipes for always fresh salads and desserts, they were off to a great start.
Cookin' from the Soul of a Rich Heritage
Here is the story of JT’s Original Louisiana Bar-B-Que Sauce (it is also on the label)
“Authentic barbeque is deeply rooted in the history of America’s southern plantations where slow roasting beef and pork were the culinary delights of any large celebration.
On the Brazil plantation in Powhatan, Northern Louisiana, a great bar-b-que sauce was born. As the plantation’s primary cook, “Mama” Clora Turner would craft and slow-brew her secret sauce using only the best and freshest ingredients, “shaking” a little of this, a dash of that and a pinch of lovin’.
JT’s Original Louisiana Bar-B-Que embraces this rich heritage and continues the legacy by blending only the finest quality ingredients with a “Pinch of love”.
Take some home and you’ll see why folks say they can’t get enough of JT’s Original Louisiana Bar-B-Que and keep coming back for more. The proof is in the bottle!”
